Bambù: Traditional crafts from distant lands

Welcome! I'm Valentine, founder of Bambù, an online artisan shop.

Bambù is a brand that celebrates authenticity through unique creations crafted with traditional expertise from distant, often overlooked cultures, such as those of Colombia.
With a commitment to sustainability, Bambù Artisanat offers exclusive fashion accessories and responsible, elegant, and original gift ideas.

Set off on a journey and broaden your horizons!

As a passionate traveler, I've had the opportunity to visit many places steeped in beauty and tradition. Each country offers its own unique discoveries and experiences. Beyond simple tourism, travel is, for me, a way to expand one’s perspective, an opportunity to immerse oneself, even briefly, in a new culture.

DISCOVER

To promote and bring authentic crafts back in my suitcase!

This is how Bambù came to life in March 2022. Living in Italy and as the mother of a Franco-Italian boy, I chose to continue my adventures and share them with you.

To offer you original and authentic creations, Bambù seeks to collaborate directly with artisans I’ve met throughout my travels.

Our mission is twofold: to take you on a journey through these unique pieces, such as our elegant fans from Colombia and to showcase the skill, artistry, and dedication of the creators behind them.

Along the way, we’ve been fortunate to build relationships of trust with local communities. For instance, we work with Mexican artisans to craft our leather huarache sandals, and with Colombian artisans who grant us the exclusivity of their work.
Our workshop in Colombia handcrafts our espadrilles, following the purest Colombian traditions.

These men and women possess remarkable expertise, from weaving Wayuu mochila bags with a single thread to braiding natural fibers, skills I am truly proud to present to you.

New journeys await.

See you soon!
